Newly Accessible Collections, September 2026

In this month’s newly accessible collections, you will find miscellaneous files from the Historian’s Office kept from 1845, 1854–1883. You can also read the account of White Calf and the series of visions he experienced from 1913 to 1916 about the brutality of World War I and the different worlds of the dead. These visions were shared with missionaries Frank Warner and J. J. Galthreath during their service on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana and western Canada. Also, we invite you to look through the many photograph collections now available to view, including the photograph of missionaries serving in the Sandwich Islands around 1895.
